2 drivers arrested for overloading

RAJOURI, Jan 10: The police has booked and arrested drivers of two passenger vehicles for overloading and risking the lives of those on board.
Official sources said that a team of police headed by SHO Sunderbani, Romal Singh was on routine patrolling at Barnpuri temple road of Sunderbani when one Auto Tata Magic JK11A/ 1297, on way to Malla Bharore and driven by Anil Kumar, son of Madan Lal resident of Bharore was intercepted.
Vehicle was found carrying total 25 passengers with 03 hanging from stairs and 02 were on roof of vehicle and overloading was causing danger to the human lives.
In this connection a case FIR No 02/19 under section 279/336/RPC and 66/192 MV Act was registered and driver was arrested on spot besides seizure of vehicle.
Another minibus No. JK11/ 1257, on way from Kalakote to Siot, driven by Ashwani Kumar ,son of Ghurdan Lal, resident of Dharamsal, was found overloaded during a Naka laid by a team of police headed by SHO Kalakote, Mustaj Ahmed. In this connection, a case FIR No 01/2019 under section 279/336 RPC has been registered at Kalakote Police Station against driver who endangered lives of passengers.
