2 bovines rescued, smuggler arrested

JAMMU, Jan 22: Nagrota police under ‘Operation Sanjeevani’ foiled bovines smuggling bid by rescuing two cattle and arresting one person.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Nagrota Police Station laid a naka near TCP and intercepted a Tata Mobile bearing registration number JK02BN-3079.
During checking, police rescued two bovine animals from the vehicle and arrested a smuggler, who has been identified as Mushtaq Ahmed, son of Noor Illahi of Katyal, Tehsil RS Pura, District Jammu.
A case under FIR Number 50/19 under section 188 RPC and 3/5 PCA Act has been registered at Police Station Nagrota and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Nagrota Inspector Deepak Pathania made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO Nagrota Mohan Lal Sharma and SP Rural Jammu Dushyant Sharma.
