SAMBA, Jan 8: Ghagwal police rescued 15 bovine animals and seized a truck.
As per police sources, a team from Ghagwal police station laid a naka at Tapyal Morh and stopped a truck bearing registration number JK02AF-9867.
During checking, police rescued 15 bovine animals and seized the truck, while the driver managed to escape from the spot taking benefit of the darkness.
A case under FIR Number 1/17 under Section 188 RPC and 2/3 PCA Act 189, 183 and 184 MV Act has been registered at Ghagwal police station and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Ghagwal police station SI Rajeshwar Singh rescued the bovine animals under the supervision of DySP Headquarters Samba and SSP Samba Joginder Singh.
