SRINAGAR, May 14: The first phase of the recruitment process for the post of constables was today started in South Kashmir’s Kulgam district.
A police spokesman said the chairman of the Police Recruitment Board Surinder Kumar Gupta along with DIG Central Kashmir Ghulam Hassan Bhat and other recruitment board members were present during the recruitment process.
“On the first day of the recruitment 1775 male/female candidates were called for the physical tests, today, out of which about 1400 appeared for the test. The candidates who have qualified physical test will be called for written test for final selection regarding which dates will be issued separately,” the spokesman said.
He said the candidates are yet again informed to be aware of any touts/middlemen and fraudsters trying to allure them and their families with false promise of ensuring their selection in lieu of money.
