JAMMU: In total 140 lady constables on Thursday became part of Jammu and Kashmir Police after attending passing-out-parade held at Sher-e-Kashmir Police Academy in Udhampur district.
Jammu and Kashmir Director General of Police, Dr S P Vaid, who was the Chief Guest on the occasion, while congratulating the pass-outs, said that addition of fresh batch of lady constables would definitely help in strengthening existing Police Stations and women cells.
Informing that 36 pass-outs of the batch are graduates and above, the DGP hoped that their presence will go a long way in improving efficiency of Women Police Stations.
He also threw light on various welfare measures taken by the Department for the Police personnel. (AGENCIES)
