KATRA, Oct 29: During checking and frisking at PCP Panthal, one auto bearing registration number JK02AH- 2449 was stopped. During checking, 100 poly pouches of liquor were recovered from the auto. Police seized the auto as well as the recovered liquor pouches and also arrested its driver namely Mohan of Dadoora, tehsil Katra. Another person, traveling in the auto, identified as Ravi Kumar of Bhaghta, managed to escape from the spot.
In this connection a case FIR number 204 /2017 u/s 48(A) Excise Act has been registered at Police Station Katra.
Meanwhile, Katra Police also arrested a drug peddler and seized 110 gms of cannabis from his possession. The accused, identified as Jan Mohammad, was arrested from Banganga during patrolling by the Police party there.
