JAMMU, June 10: State Spokesperson of J&K Youth Congress & Member Pradesh Congress Committee, Chetan Wanchoo today alleged that the people of  Jammu were facing acute shortage of water and power supply  as the PDP-BJP Government had failed to provide essential services to them.
“The situation in Jammu region has virtually turned out of control due to the severe shortage of drinking water and the worst-ever power crisis during summer but the  BJP ministers from Jammu region are least bothered about the prevailing situation and enjoying the cool weather in Kashmir,” he alleged in a statement.
Wanchoo also criticized the Coalition Government for  abandoning the tradition of summer and winter secretariat at Jammu and Srinagar, respectively, to attend public grievances. “The ministers from Jammu are mostly on flying visits and are hardly available for the public,” he rued and announced that the Congress party, particularly its Youth Wing, would leave no stone unturned to highlight the grievances of general masses and redressal of the same.
