POONCH, Dec 5: The water supply to about five wards of Pathana Teer village in Mendhar Sub Division haa been suspended for the last about five weeks as the Motor of the PHE pumping station has gone out of order.
The villagers have finally lodged their complaint with the local Administration and alleged that due non- repair of motor of the pumping station by the Mechanical wing of PHE, a large population was suffering. They alleged that many water supply pipes have broken in some wards that too, remained unattended. They sought intervention of Sub Divisional and District Administration into the matter.
Meanwhile, water supply in Harni village has also been affected due to breakage of pipes. The villagers alleged that most of the water pipes have not concealed under ground by the concerned department. This has resulted into breakage and leakage of water at many points. Due to this, water supply to several wards has been affected. They also sought intervention of local Administration as the concerned field staff did not bother despite repeated requests, the people alleged.
