JAMMU, Sept 27: Vigilance Organization Jammu today produced challan against the then Booking Manager of Transport Commissioners Office, Jammu, who was caught red handed while demanding and accepting bribe.
Challan in case FIR No. 07/2014, against Deepak Sharma of Shastri Nagar, Jammu, the then Booking Manager in the office of Transport Commissioner, Jammu, was produced in the Special Court of Anti-Corruption, here today.
The case was registered on 03-04-2014 upon written complaint of one PankajVaid of Gandhi Nagar Jammu, who alleged that Deepak Kumar, Jr Clerk posted as Booking Manager in the office of Transport Commissioner Jammu, was demanding Rs 5000 as bribe for transfer of route permit from old vehicle to new vehicle even as all the required formalities for the purpose were completed.
Acting on the complaint, Vigilance team laid a trap and caught Deepak Sharma red handed while accepting a bribe of Rs 5000/- from the complainant in presence of independent witnesses at Transport Commissioners Office, Jammu.
After completion of investigation and other relevant formalities, the case was challaned by Inspector Naresh Sharma before the Special Court of Anti-Corruption today.
