RAJOURI, Mar 29: Launching Central Government Scheme of Free LPG connection to BPL families in Rajouri district, Member Legislative Council and Senior Vice President of Bhartiya Janta Party, Advocate Vibodh Gupta distributed the connection to 50 BPL families, here today. An impressive programme was organized at the distribution Centre of Rajouri Gas Agency where MLC Mr Gupta was chief guest who handed over Free Gas connection to 50 BPL families.
Speaking on the occasion, he said that it is the visionary decision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to make available this facility for the poor BPL families, adding that this Scheme has been kept available in Rajouri also and BPL families must approach Gas Companies to get the free connection and take benefit from it.
He said that BPL families can avail new LPG connection without paying the security deposit of one cylinder 14.2 kg or 5 kg capacity and one Pressure regulator. He said that the entire amount of Rs.1,600 (Rs.1,450 for cylinder and Rs.150 for regulator) towards deposit would be paid by the Central Government.
