Two thieves arrested

RAMBAN, Nov 12: Ramban police arrested two thieves and recovered stolen tyres from their possession.
As per police sources, a complaint was lodged by Abdul Latief Giri, son of Shamas Din Giri, a resident of Cafeteria Morh with Ramban Police Station stating that some unidentified persons have stolen the tyres of his Wagon-R car bearing registration number JK02AM-0051, which was parked near Cafeteria Morh.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 165/17 under Section 379 RPC was registered at Ramban Police Station and investigation started.
During the course of investigation, police arrested the thieves and recovered the stolen tyres from their car bearing registration number JK03D-6336, which was also seized.
The arrested persons have been identified as Aqib Mussa, son of Azad Mussa Bhat and Muneed Majid Haji, son of Abdul Majid Haji, both residents of District Anantnag.
Further questioning of the accused is going on to ascertain their involvement in other theft cases.
Police team led by SHO Ramban Inspector Rajeshwar Singh made the arrest under the supervision of DySP Headqua-rters Ramban Imtiyaz Ahmed, Additional SP Ramban Mushtaq Chowdhary and SSP Ramban Mohan Lal.
