KATHUA, Feb 6: One biker and one pedestrian died in two separate road accidents in Kathua district today.
According to police , a biker, Keshav Kumar (21) son of Vijay Kumar who was on way to Ramkote from Nagrota (Billawar) was hit with a road divider near Suten Nallah this evening after he lost control on two wheeler, resulting his instant death.
Police shifted his body Ramkote PHC. It will be handed over to legal heirs tomorrow after conducting postmortem.
In another accident, a pedestrian namely Sunil Kumar (44) son of Himmat Singh resident of Barnoti was hit by a biker at Barnoti. He was seriously injured and was shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu for specialized treatment where he succumbed to his injuries despite hard efforts of doctors to save his life.
Meanwhile, concerned police stations have registered the cases under relevant Sections of law and started investigations.
