SUCHETGARH, Nov 27: National Conference (NC) candidate for Suchetgarh, T S Tony today exhorted the people to thwart machinations of peace-breakers and strengthen the secular fabric which is core of the State like Jammu and Kashmir.
“NC has all along stood for amity and tranquility between various segments of the society and oneness of the State”, Tony said while addressing workers meeting at Falora.
He assailed the peace inimical elements which create wedge between various sections of society by exploiting regional and religious sentiments and hoped the people will see through their dirty game plan of divide and rule. He said the Opposition has no agenda except vitiating the political situation, as they have failed to raise the genuine public issues during the past six years.
Tony accused PDP of vitiating the atmosphere in a bid to stall the process of development and peace, adding BJP legislators got entangled in personal pursuits at the cost of interest of those they represented in the Legislative Assembly. He said it was NC alone that plunged into the scene and steered the State to a new era of peace and development.
Tony said NC cadre will not deviate from its chosen agenda of serving the people of all the three regions and their sub-regions and added that development of Suchetgarh will remain core of his agenda for the next six years.
