JAMMU, Jan 3: Kunwar Santosh Singh, Chief Engineer (retd) and brother -in-law of State NCP president and former Minister, Thakur Randhir Singh passed away here yesterday. He was 86.
He was the elder brother of Prof Kailash Rajput retired Principal Government Degree College, Gandhi Nagar and wife of Th Randhir Singh.
The NCP held an emergency, meeting under the chairmanship of Krishan Kumar Digra its vice president here, today to condole the demise of Kunwar Santosh Singh..
The meeting paid rich tributes to Kunwar Santosh Singh one of the most outstanding engineers responsible for the planning and construction of Jyotipuram housing colony of Salal Hydel project on deputation to NHPC and as a Chief Engineer Irrigation was responsible for installing irrigation Tubewells in Vijaypur, R S Pura , Kathua and other areas and also responsible for construction of dam and powerhouse at Salal.
