POONCH, Jan 28: A tanker with 12,000 liters of kerosene oil meant for CAPD depots in Surankote area of Poonch was seized by police last night.
A police spokesman said that acting on the basis of a specific information, a Surankote police party conduct raid at a shop of Wahid Ahmed, son of Mohd Rafiq at Surankote at around 10 pm and arrested its driver. Zakir Hussain, son of Wazir Hussain of the same area. The tanker No. JK02X/ 6377 was also seized. The oil meant for public was being sold in the black market. Many barrels had been stored in the shop and this consignment was being filed in it. The shopkeeper managed to slip away and the police was looking for him.
Police was also looking for the dealers of kerosene oil depots in the area whose consignment was being pilferaged. It said that without their involvement, the black marketing of oil was not possible.
