Suman Gupta to showcase works at ‘Art for concern’

Jammu, Apr 23: Suman Gupta, one of a well known magic realist artist of the State has been invited by the Concern India Foundation for their fund raising art initiative which is being organized by Secure giving at Le Meridien ,Gurgaon.
The exhibition brings together works of the established and upcoming artists in to affordable category of collectibles. Concern India Foundation is a registered, non profit charitable trust working towards its objectives of Helping people Help themselves by making the disadvantaged self reliant and thereby enabling them to lead a life of dignity.
Its support through these issues helps it to reach out to a wider section of beneficiaries such as children, youth, the specially challenged, women and elderly and the focus is to bring a positive change in the life of most vulnerable people of society through sustainable programs.
Suman Gupta in the recent time has been experimenting with his favorite medium egg tempera and has produced some of the finest works on gessoes wood panel, paper as well as on canvas. The subjects mostly consisting of the elements taken from nature, human dwellers in his immediate surroundings — his portrayal of these subjects is compelling and beautiful…His deftness brings attention to these simple forms, encouraging the viewer to re-examine the presence of these objects.
The exhibition will commence on April 29 at Le Meridien, Gurgaon and concludes on April 30.
