JAMMU, Apr 29: Gujjar Nagar police recovered a snatched vehicle and arrested two persons.
As per police sources, on March 22, a Toyota Innova vehicle bearing registration number JK01V-5215 was snatched by two persons from Samadhian road.
A case under FIR Number 18/17 under Section 382 RPC was registered at Peer Mitha Police Station and hunt was launched to arrest the snatchers.
On specific information, a team from Gujjar Nagar police post conducted raid and arrested the snatchers and recovered the vehicle.
The accused have been identified as Zahid Ahmad, son of Ghulam Nabi Bhat of Baghe Sundar Chattabal Srinagar and Bashir Ahmad Bhat, son of Ghulam Rasool Bhat of Nawakadal Srinagar.
Further questioning of the accused is going on to ascertain their involvement in other theft cases.
Police team led by Incharge Gujjar Nagar police post SI Shariq Bhat made the arrest under the supervision of SHO Peer Mitha Inspector Javaid Malik, SDPO City Vivek Shekhar Sharma and SP City Dr Vinod Kumar.
