RAJOURI, Feb 14: Property worth lakhs was destroyed after shop was burnt at main market in Kalakote town of Rajouri this morning.
Reports said that the shop of one Sonu Sethi suddenly caught fire after short circuit at the basement store in the morning. Within short span of time the fire flames started spreading and dense smokes of fire were in the air.
The people rushed to control the fire in the shop located at busy locality. Fire tender was also pressed into service. The police also reached there immediately. The people had already launched operation to control the fire. The fire was controlled within 45 minutes. The loss of property was being assessed but it is said to be in lakhs.
