JAMMU, Mar 30: All selected candidates of warder in Prison Department held protest and demanded release of the selection list at the earliest.
The selected candidates of warder in Prison Department assembled outside Press Club and raised slogans in favour of their demands.
The protestors were demanding release of the final selection list, which was pending for the last more than four years due to the reasons best known to the concerned authorities.
They reiterated that they will continue their agitation till their demands are redressed.
The protestors warned the Government not to test their patience and release the final selection list, otherwise they will intensify their agitation.
One of the candidate Ashwani Kumar informed that about 41182 unemployed youth had applied for the post advertised in 2005 and 1247 candidates were shortlisted for the interview, which was held in the month of September 2010. He added that after lapse of over four years, the final selection list has not been released till date.
He urged the Chief Minister, Home Department and Director General Prison PL Gupta to personally intervene in the matter for getting the selection list released.
