Secy School Education interacts with participants of Intl Anjali Festival

JAMMU, Nov 20: Ajeet Kumar Sahu, Secretary to Government, School Education Department, today interacted with the participants of 17th International Anjali Festival.
While interacting with the participants, Sahu encouraged the participants and passed on instructions to the concerned officials to conduct such programmes at State level to develop confidence among Children with Special Needs (CWSN) in order to enhance their skills in the field of art & craft, singing, dancing, painting, sports, photography, videography, etc.
Also present on the occasion were Rakesh Kumar Srangal, Director School Education Jammu, Tufail Matoo, State Projector Director, Samagra Shiksha J&K, JK Sudan, Chief Education Officer Jammu and team leader, T R Mangotra, State Coordinator Inclusive Education, Samagra Shiksha J&K.
The participants of J&K were felicitated by the organizers and the founder members of Anjali Children Festival at Bhubaneswar. Rahul Kumar, a specially-abled student of 11th Class from Government Higher Secondary School (GHSS) Nowabad (Jammu), who was among the participants, drew a live sketch of Dr Sruti Mahapatra and presented the same to her.
Amir Yousuf, a specially-abled child from District Budgam, got 2nd position in painting competition. The founder of Swabhiman assured one year scholarship in favour of Zahid Manzoor from district Budgam and Suraya Meharaj from district Pulwama (Non-CWSN). Also Team J&K got consolation prize in Group Song Competition.
Pertinent to mention here that the children of J&K were trained by national level resource persons/experts in the area of art & craft, photography & videography, dancing and painting with effect from 14 to 17 November.
