MENDHAR, Mar 16: Sub Divisional Magistrate, Mendhar  Rahul Yadav, ordered an inquiry after he received public complaints  that   Balnoi  Sheep Farm  of Sheep Husbandry Department always remains closed and hardly any employee visits there.
On the  public complaint that having strength of  about 34 employees including Assistant Director and other supervisory staff, no body visits this office complex and the farm, the SDM Mendhar directed the Tehsildar  Mankote/ Mendhar,  Shahzad Khan to hold inquiry and submit report.
Upon this, the Tehsildar deputed a team led by Naib Tehsildar Mankote Qazi Mohd Mir to the Balnoi farm today and found that the office of the Assistant Director there was lying closed. During inquiry from the villagers of the area, it was found that AD,  Dr Yasin Shah Bukhari hardly visits twice in a month there while some local staff operates from their respective houses.  The general public is suffering  due to the attitude of neglect and negligence of the staff.  The office was also lying in shambles and deserted.  The preliminary inquiry also  revealed that the strength of the sheep/ lambs projected in the record was hardly half of it. It was also established that huge chunk of Govt farm land has been grabbed by some locals with the suspected connivance of some insiders.
The team submitted today’s report to the Tehsildar and it will be further submitted to the SDM. Mr Yadav when contacted said that Tehsildar has been asked  to submit a report shortly and he has also sought explanation of the Assistant Director, Balnoi Sheep Farm.  He said action under law will be taken against the officer and his staff in this connection.
