REASI, Sept 2: Rehbar-e-Talim Teachers of Reasi Zone are without salary for the last two months and hence they could not celebrate the Eid with enthusiasm and festivity.
Despite State Government’s direction for release of salary for the last month by August 28 and transfer of funds from CEO Office to the account of ZEO Reasi, their salary was not released.
According to a press statement issued by district president of J&K ReT Teacher Forum, Reasi, ZEO Reasi has issued a notification seeking attendance certificate from teachers of the Zone even as CEO Reasi has not demanded the same. Moreover attendance certificate cum staff statement is sent by all the schools at the end of each month and demanding the same earlier was illogic and just to delay the release of salary, the Forum leader added and announced to stage a protest dharna at DC Office Reasi against the ZEO.
The CEO Reasi could not be contacted for his comment on the issue.
