Republic Day celebrated with patriotic fervor by Central, State organizations

JAMMU, Jan 27: 68th Republic Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervor by several Central and State Government organizations including Army and Central Paramilitary forces.
The Principal Resident Commissioner, Jammu and Kashmir Government, Rakesh Kumar Gupta, unfurled the National Flag on Republic Day at J&K House, 5-Prithvi Raj Road, New Delhi. A contingent of J&K Armed Police presented the Guard of Honour on the occasion and the ceremonial function was attended by all the officers/officials of J&K posted at New Delhi. The children presented the colorful cultural programme.
On Republic Day, Director General of Prisons, SK Mishra, hoisted the National Flag at J&K Prisons Headquarter, Amphalla, Jammu. Senior officers including DIG Prisons, Dr MS Lone, Superintendent, District Jail, Jammu, Javid Masood Fazili and Staff Officer to DGP Prisons, Saba Shawl were also present on the occasion. Republic Day was also celebrated with fervor in all the jails of the State. At Central Jail, Kot Bhalwal (Jammu), SG Superintendent Jail, Dinesh Sharma, hoisted the National Flag. Dinesh Sharma, Senior Superintendent, Additional Superintendent, Subash Kumari and Assistant Commandant of CRPF 72 BN were also present.
Republic Day was celebrated with great patriotic fervour by Police Technical Training Institute (PTTI), Vijaypur. Ranjit kanwar, SSP (Prinicpal), PTTI Vijaypur, hoisted the National Flag. Besides other officers, retired police personnel and locals also participated in the function. Contingents of police personnel/trainees held March Past, which was followed by a colourful cultural programme by students of Government Middle School, Thalori and staff/trainees of PTTI Vijaypur.
A function in connection with Republic Day was also organized by Police Transport Workshop (PTW), Jammu in its premises. The Tricolour was unfurled by Ranjit Singh Sambyal, Senior Superintendent of police, PTW Jammu amid singing of National Anthem by members of the workshop. On the occasion, Sambyal also announced cash reward as well as commendation certificates Class III to the deserving officers/officials.
The main function of Republic Day at Katra was held today at the Shrine Board’s Sports Complex, where Ajeet Kumar Sahu, Chief Executive Officer, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board, hoisted the Tricolour and took salute at an impressive march-past by the contingents drawn from CRPF, NCC Boys and Girls, Scouts and Guides. The students presented a captivating cultural programme. Dr Piyush Singla and Dr MK Kumar, Additional Chief Executive Officers and Pankaj Gupta, Dr Arvind Karwani and Amit Vermani, Deputy Chief Executive Officers were also present.
68th Republic Day was celebrated at Civil Airport Jammu with fervor. Along with the staff of Airports Authority of India, all the Airlines, JKP and CRPF personnel also participated in the celebration. The National flag was hoisted by the Airport Director, Devendra Kumar Gautam, who also distributed prizes among winners of sports activities, held during the past week at the Airport. The function culminated with the distribution of sweets.
POWERGRID Northern Region Transmission System-II celebrated 68th Republic Day at Grid Bhawan, near Bahu Plaza Jammu with gaiety and enthusiasm. Chief guest, Anil Jain, Executive Director unfurled the Tricolor in the presence of senior officials, employees, their families and children. Fancy dress competition, poetic recitation by small children and patriotic songs by members of Mahila Samiti and children of the employees was appreciated by one and all.
The Republic Day was celebrated by Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) by hoisting Tricolour by Joint Commissioner (A), JMC, RS Jamwal, at Town Hall Complex, Jammu. Among others, Chief Accounts Officer, Neeraj Gupta, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Vinakashi Koul, Joint Commissioner (W), Kushal Chand, Health Officer, Dr Anita Salgotra and other staff from the Corporation were also present on the occasion.
AK Malhotra, Director, Department of Agriculture, J&K, hoisted the National Flag at Krishi Bhawan Lawns, Talab Tillo, Jammu to mark the 68th Republic Day Cclebrations here today. A large number of officers and employees of Agriculture Department besides staff and students of Jagriti Mission High School, Talab-Tillo participated in the function who also presented patriotic songs and cultural items. Mementoes and prizes were given to the students who participated in cultural presentations.
Salal Power Station celebrated Republic Day with zeal and enthusiasm at Jyotipuram wherein employees, CISF personnel, their family members, school children and locals participated in large number. AG Ansari, General Manager, Salal Power Station, hoisted the National flag. Cultural programs presented by KV students and play-way school kids enthralled one and all. The program concluded with prize distribution and distribution of sweets.
The 68th Republic Day was celebrated in Dulhasti Power Station, Kishtwar with great enthusiasm. Employees and Officers of the Power Station including CISF personnel, students of KV and local public also participated in the celebration. PK Langer, General Manager, Dulhasti Power Station, hoisted the National Flag. He was given Guard of Honour by CISF platoon. Two employees of the Power Station were honoured on the occasion for their exemplary contribution. A cultural programme was also presented by students of KV Kishtwar and wards of NHPC employees.
A function to celebrate Republic Day also held in the premises of District Jail Jammu. Javid Masood Fazili, Superintendent of Jail, hoisted the Tricolour. The programme was witnessed by CRPF officers, Jail officers, Jawans and Jail inmates. In the end, sweets were distributed among all the participants and ‘Bara Khana’ was arranged for Jail inmates.
The Republic Day function at District Jail Udhampur, started with the ceremony of hoisting of National Flag by Superintendent of the jail, Harsih Kotwal in the presence of Jail staff, CRPF personnel and Jail inmates. The Guard of Honour was presented by CRPF contingent. A colourful cultural programme was presented by Jail inmates and Jail staff. Sweets were distributed among participants and ‘Bara Khana’ was arranged for Jail inmates.
68th Republic Day was celebrated at Sub Jail Hiranagar by hoisting National Flag by Superintendent of Jail, Lazar Kandayaray in the presence of officers/officials of CRPF and Sub Jail Hiranagar. A cultural programme was presented by Jail inmates. ‘Bara Khana’ was also arranged for Jail staff/CRPF personnel and Jail inmates.
Locals joined hands with the Army to celebrate the Republic Day at Rajouri, Poonch, Lower Krishna Ghati (LGK), Mendhar, Palma, Manjakote, Sangiot, Topa, Basoni, Daraba, Behrote, Mahore, Bagga, Samote, Doda, Banihal, Goshti, Bhagwah, Kishtwar, Chhatru among other places. The celebrations witnessed hoisting of the National Flag, March past and singing of the National Anthem. The enthusiastic school children performed various cultural programmes enacting roles of freedom fighters, traditional folk dances and songs.
The 68th Republic Day was celebrated with great fervor and charm by the Rashtriya Rifles Battalions under the aegis of Rashtriya Rifles Force Headquarters based at Reasi. The National flag was hoisted in presence of a large number of students at Mahore, Bagga, Samote, Gool, Talwara, Nowshera, Kalal and Kalakote. March past and various programs evoking the spirit of patriotism were organized on the occasion. The events were attended by students, teachers, sarpanches, veteran and officials from the civil administration.
Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) celebrated 68th Republic Day with full fervour and gaiety in all its establishments and Battalions. SN Shrivastava, Special DG CRPF J&K Zone hoisted the National Flag at Group centre CRPF, Bantalab/Transit Camp Jammu. He also addressed officers and Jawans of the force on the occasion and read out the name of medal awardees.
National Sample Survey Office (Field Operations Division), Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation, Government of India, hoisted “National Flag” in the office at 34-A Extension Sainik Colony, Jammu to celebrate 68th Republic Day. The staff members of NSSO (FOD), Jammu pay homage to all the heard and unheard martyrs and heroes who contributed to emancipate the Nation from the foreign rule.
Sector Head Quarters Jammu and 66th Battalion, Sashastra Seema Bal, Jammu celebrated Republic Day at Lower Roop Nagar, Jammu. Deputy Inspector General, SHQ Jammu, Manvendra, hoisted the National Flag in the presence of officers and members of SHQ and 66th Battalion.
