Relief holders delegation calls on DC

JAMMU, Apr 12: A delegation of Relief holders and over aged youth led by Ravinder Koul today called on Deputy Commissioner Relief and expressed their resentment over the delay in release of cash assistance of March and ration to relief holders till date.
The delegation said the cash assistance is not released in time due to which migrants are put to many hardships. The delegation said that they are unable to pay fee of their wards due to delay in release of cash assistance.
Koul informed DC that earlier it was decided that relief will be paid in first week of every month but this procedure was not laid in practice later with the result the migrants who are getting a meager cash assistance of Rs 2500 per head are put to many hardships.
The other members of the delegation included Inder Koul, Bushan Lal and Sanjay. Later in a statement Koul demanded compensation for over aged displaced youth so that they can start their own business to lead a respectable life in the society instead of depending on cash doles from the Government.
