Private Schools Association highlights issues pertaining to affiliation, FFC

RAJOURI, Sept 16: A meeting of Private Schools Association was held at Nowshera, here today under the chairmanship of Rameshwar Mengi, vice president JKPSA, for discussing and highlighting the issues pertaining to affiliation and Fee Fixation Committee.
Prithviraj Khokhar, District vice president highlighted the problems of the private schools functioning in the border areas in getting recognition without the approval of fee from FFC upto class 8th by DSE Jammu, delay in granting recognition to the school functioning up to 10th & 12th classes by the School Education Department on the basis of affiliation granted by the JK BOSE etc.
Members present in the meeting condemned the step motherly treatment given by the Directorate of School Education Jammu for granting recognition to number of schools up to class 8th by the pick and choose method even as High Court of Jammu & Kashmir has directed DSE Jammu to grant recognition to all such schools whose cases are sub judice without any NOC from the FFC.
General secretary of the JKPSA Ajay Gupta urged to all the entrepreneurs’ of the self financed schools not to submit any file to the FFC until and unless Government of J&K comes out with clear cut policies and rules for the operation of Fee Fixation.
Rameshwar Mengi appealed to owners of the Private schools that Private Schools which have got approval of its school fee from the FFC should charge only that approved fee from the parents, and should provide authentic receipt so that there is no hue and cry among the masses.
Those who attended the conference, included Sanjeev Luthra, Ajay Singh, Manohar Lal Sharma, Parshotam Sharma, Narender Chowdhary, Ritesh Chowdhary and others.
