JAMMU, Sept 1: Sangeeta Gupta, Principal Commissioner Income Tax Jammu and Kashmir conferred upon prestigious 6th Rajiv Gandhi Excellence Award at India Habitat Centre, New Delhi as painter and poet by ‘Pehchan’, a NGO working for girl child.
Anuradha Rishi Jammu based artist from Delhi was the special invitee on the occasion.
To her credit Sangeeta fetched numerous awards and accolades viz. India Excellence Award for Poetry 2015 by Bharat Nirman NGO, New Delhi; Priyadarshani Award 2015 as an International Cultural Entrepreneur by Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Entrepreneur India; 35th Women Entrepreneur Award by Bharat Nirman, Global Women Achievers Award by Indo Global Bussiness Council, Dehli; Awarded and Honoured as an Artist by 3rd Delhi International Film Festival Delhi; Poet of the year by 3rd Delhi International Festival Delhi; 69th and 77th All India Award by AIFACS, New Delhi for painting; Gold Medalfor best Probationer(1984 batch Indian Revenue Services)etc.
She did art camps and painting exhibitions in Shenzehen, China; four International Art Fairs at Delhi. 28 solo shows in London, Berlin, Munich, Lahore, Belfast and Thessaloniki (Greece) beside India. She has scripted, directed and shot 6 Documentary films. Her films have been screened at various prestigious venues in Delhi and abroad and telecasted on DD Bharati and Lok Sabha Channels several times in the recent past.
