JAMMU, Mar 2: Punjab National Bank (PNB) today opened the registration of Yatris for Shri Amarnathji Yatra- 2015 in 305 designated branch offices of Bank at Pan India level. The registration process was inaugurated by G S Gandhoke, Field General Manager, Shimla through video conference from Shimla and  B M Fazili, Circle Head, PNB Circle Office Jammu.
Mr Gandhoke said that PNB is committed to serve the society through its vast branch expansion and would like to reach the masses through this registration process.
Mr. Fazili informed the gathering that the Bank had participated in the registration process in 2013 as one of the five participating Banks and since 2014 the Bank is conducting registration in over 305 branches across India out of total of 430 branches allotted to three banks by Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board. Mr. Fazili informed that the Bank is participating in the registration process as part of the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and does not have any commercial interest.
He said Punjab National Bank (PNB) was the first bank to register the Yatris of Shri Amarnathji Yatra through its Core Banking Solution (online system) in 2013 and has continued to leverage its technology advancement this year also in a better way. A live demonstration of the facility available to the branches through Core Banking Module was made through a PowerPoint presentation to the gathering and the press.
Mr Fazili said that the Bank with its commitment to serve the society had registered more than 100 NRIs last year for the Yatra and this year too has offered its services for registration of NRI Yatris. To Register for Shri Amarnathji Yatra 2015, an ex-India pilgrim shall need to send scanned copies of the Yatra documents  at the email address: nkanand@pnb.co.in: cojksec@pnb.co.in and the Bank shall thereafter complete the registration process and hand over the Yatra permits to the intending Yatris at Jammu/Srinagar as per their requirement.
Mr. Fazili further added that as per direction of Shrine Board, the Yatra 2015 shall commence on 2nd July, 2015 and conclude on Shravan Purnima (Raksha Bandhan) on August 29, 2015. For registration to intending Yatris, designated branches of PNB across India have been provided with dedicated staff which shall provide smooth services to the intending Yatris for registration and queries, he added. Banners have been displayed in all the designated branches displaying essential information to the Yatris for the registration process, he informed. The list of the nominated Doctors/ Institutes shall be available on the Board’s website – www.shriamarnathjishrine.com.
Sunil Khosa & B M Pawar, Chief Managers, Circle Office, Neeraj Anand, Sr. Manager  along with prominent citizens were present at the function.
