Plight of pre-2006 pensioners

Sir,
The Central Government has implemented the Seventh Pay Commission report in favour of pensioners who have retired prior to 1-1-2006. It has reduced the period of service from 33 years to 28 years thereby making pensioners eligible for 50 percent pension, but our J&K Government while implementing 7th Pay Commission report for pensioners who have retired prior to 1-1-2006 has left qualifying service as 33 years to get 50 percent pension. This is really injustice to the pensioners as they get less than 50 percent of pension.
It is, therefore, requested to the Governor of the State and his team of advisors to consider this genuine demand of Pre 1-1-2006 pensioners.
The necessary correction in qualifying service should be reduced to 28 years. This will be the real implementation of 7th Pay Commission report for these pensioners.
