Pedestrian arrested with poppy straw

JAMMU, Sept 30: Bus Stand police under “Operation Sanjeevani” arrested a pedestrian along with poppy straw.
As per police spokesman, on specific information, a team from Bus Stand Police Station laid a naka at BC Road and intercepted a pedestrian.
During checking, police recovered 11 kilograms of poppy straw from the possession of the pedestrian and arrested him.
A case under FIR Number 84/17 has been registered at Bus Stand Police Station and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Bus Stand Inspector Ravi Kant made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO City Varun Jandial and SP City Dr Vinod Kumar.
