‘PDP leadership ignoring Sikhs’

JAMMU, Mar 30: Various Sikh organisations have strongly criticised the PDP for ignoring the Sikh community and not accommodating any of their members, in the State Legislative Council.
In an emergency meeting of various Sikh organizations held here today under the chairmanship of S. Dayal Singh Wazir, president Shiromani Akali Dal J&K and S Mohinder Singh chief organizer Bhai Khanhiya Nishkam Sewa Society J&K and Ex- Member DGPC Jammu along with Sikh United Front, All India Students Sikh Federation, Sikh Naujawan Sabha, Sikh Welfare Society, members DGPC Jammu, all the members expressed strong resentment over the attitude of PDP.
The participants strongly criticizing the Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti   for ignoring the Sikh community in Jammu and Kashmir for not granting any representation in the Council and Assembly as three years tenure of the present coalition Govt has passed. The Sikh community feels isolated.
The participants appreciated the BJP for giving representation in Council to  Charanjeet Singh Khalsa and appointing Varinderjeet Singh, as  Vice Chairman in J&K Police Housing Corporation out of its quota. But PDP has not done justice with the Sikh community, they added.
Amrik Singh, Davinder Singh, Ramnik Singh, Fateh Singh,Raja Singh Member DGPC Jammu; Surinder Singh Kala convener J&K Motor Transport Association Jammu,  Paramjeet Singh, Amrik Singh Sathi, Kulwant Singh, Gajan Singh, Harpreet Singh and  Harpal Singh were also present in the meeting.
