MENDHAR, May 18: A lineman of the PDD was critically injured when he received severe electric shock while at work in Gursai area this afternoon.
A police spokesman said that mishap took place when lineman Mohd Kabir, son of Nazir Hussain, resident of Nad village in Gursai was repairing fault at electric transformer. Suddenly, some body from the power station, released the power supply and he got severe electric shocks and burns.
He was rushed to SDH Mendhar and then referred to GMC Hospital Jammu. His condition was stated to be critical. The police has registered a case of negligence against the concerned staff.
