DODA, Aug 25: Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) president, G A Mir today alleged that the ousted PDP-BJP Government was directionless due to absence of any common point in their respective agenda. They only gave rise to a situation of uncertainty, chaos and confusion.
Addressing party workers of Doda, Bhaderwah and Kishtwar in Doda today Mir said the State was passing through the “worst ever misrule. There was total policy paralysis due to inherent contradictions and divergent vested political interests among the two diametric opposite ruling partners, PDP and BJP, in the state.
Mir said for over three years not a single promise made to the people by the BJP in Jammu and the PDP in Kashmir was fulfilled. He claimed that the two parties were divided on the sensitive issues facing the state. The state government had failed to live up to the expectations of the people and address the problems of border residents, farmers, youths, employees, casual labourers and traders.
“At the time of forming the coalition, PDP had claimed that it would bring the regions closer and secure massive financial support from the Centre. It miserably failed on both these fronts and as a result people of three regions were made to suffer,” he said.
Raman Bhalla while taking jibe at the ousted PDP-BJP dispensation said that for gloating on the achievements, unfortunately, they have nothing to speak about. He said the Government failed on all fronts, with poor people and working class suffering adversely. He decried the ousted PDP-BJP dispensation for making liberal promises and indulging in exploitative politics but failing to deliver on ground.
Prominent among those who spoke on the occasion include former Minister Mohd Sharief Niaz, Naresh Gupta, Ashok Dogra Ex-MLA, Manmohan Singh, DCC presidents Farooq katoch, and Sheikh Mujeeb, Aslam Goni, Javad Azad, Arun Singh Raju, Nadeem Niaz and others.
