One killed, 5 hurt in mishap

JAMMU, Dec 16: One person was killed and five others were injured when a mini bus they were travelling in turned turtle at Manda, here this evening.
According to police reports, a rashly driven mini-bus bearing registration number JK02U-0339 this evening at around 5.30 pm turned turtle on road at Amphalla near Army gate, resulting into on the spot death of one person and injuries to five others.
The deceased was identified as Kuldeep Singh, 48, son of Ranjeet Singh of Nagrota while the injured were identified as Simran (35) wife of Sunny, resident of Nagrota, Kartik (6) son of Sunny, resident of Nagrota, Kajal (17) daughter of Ramesh, resident of Katal Batal, Guddi Devi (35) wife of Yog Raj, resident of Doda and Sonika Koul (37) wife of Rajinder Kumar, resident of Nagrota.
Body of the deceased and the injured persons were shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu while Pacca Danga police have registered a case FIR No 177 under Sections 279, 337, 304 A RPC in this connection and started investigations. The efforts were on to nab the driver of the mini-bus, who fled the scene after accident.
