Srinagar, Mar 18: A family member of missing MBBS student was killed and two others including his father were injured when a car they were travelling, met with an accident at Unsoo area of Handwara today.
The family members were returning from Odhisa from where the MBBS student Suhail Aijaz is missing for more than a month.
A police official said that the vehicle met with a mishap at Unsoo area of Handwara along Srinagar-Kupwara highway. “Three persons were injured in the mishap and one of them succumbed to injuries later,” he said
The deceased was identified as Liyakat Ali Khan, a resident of Chowkibal, Kupwara. He was local Block president of National Conference.
The injured persons were identified as Aijaz Ahmed Kataria son of Ghulam Nabi Kataria (father of missing MBBS student) and Mushtaq Ahmed Kataria, both residents of Marsari, Chokibal Kupwara.
Shoaib Aijaz, younger brother of the missing MBBS student said that they were returning home from Odhisa. He said the deceased was Uncle of his father.
