JAMMU, July 10: Alleging a series of scams in the University of Jammu   during the tenure of incumbent Vice-Chancellor Prof R D Sharma, National Secular Forum has demanded a high level probe into the irregularities in last three years.
While addressing a press conference, here today NSF State president Vikas Sharma also raised a question mark on the apparent silence of the higher authorities over purported irregularities in Jammu University.  “It seems that there is no control over some teachers and officials of the university, who along with the Vice-chancellor are frequently violating UGC norms whereas the higher authorities continue to maintain mum,” he said.
“Height of the non-seriousness of JU officials can be gauged from the fact that several resolutions passed by the University Council under the chairmanship of Governor, who is Chancellor of the University, have failed to see the light of the day,” Mr Vikas remarked and urged the Governor N N Vohra to take cognizance of all the alleged irregularities committed in JU during the tenure of Prof R D Sharma and immediately order an inquiry to unearth the same.
