NSF celebrates birth anniversary of Shaheed Sukhdev

JAMMU, May 15: On the 111th birth anniversary of Shaheed Sukhdev, who laid down his life for the country,  National Secular Forum (NSF), Jammu University Unit,  organized a programme on the campus for paying tributes to the  martyr.
Amid slogans like `Bharat Mata Ki Jai’  `Shaheed Sukhdev Amar Rahe’, the NSF activists garlanded  portrait of the martyr and paid tributes.
Ankush Abrol, Member Working Committee JKCA and senior NC leader,  was chief guest on the occasion while   Dr Vikas Sharma, State president NSF,  presided over the function and  Sukhdev Singh, NSF working president,  was the guest of honour.
Speaking on the occasion, Ankush Abrol  and Vikas Sharma threw light on the life and supreme sacrifice of Sukhdev, who along with Bhagat Singh and Rajguru was hanged to death in Lahore Central Jail by then British Government. They said that the real tributes to the martyrs would be eradicating evils prevailing in the society.
