Not easy to mislead people of Delhi: Dr Jitendra

Excelsior Correspondent
NEW DELHI, Apr 14: Union Minister Dr Jitendra Singh, who is also member of the BJP National team for the upcoming Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) elections, said here that it is not easy to mislead the people of Delhi and those who thought otherwise, have been made to swallow a humble pie. People of Delhi, he said, are wise enough and discreet enough to decide what is good for them and the result of Rajouri Garden Assembly by-election has sent out a loud message that the people of the national capital cannot be taken for a ride by hollow rhetoric or senseless dramatics.
Addressing a series of meetings till late night in the Delhi Assembly constituencies of Mustafabaad and Gokulpur, which together constitute eight MCD Wards, Dr Jitendra Singh said, there is a visible popular wave in support of BJP and the youth, in particular, are coming out in large numbers because they have faith in the credibility of the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and simultaneously, with Amit Shah as the head of organization, they feel confident that a BJP-led dispensation shall work with clarity, commitment and sincerity.
Making a dig at Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and Congress, Dr Jitendra Singh said, both these parties are at their wits’ end following serial electoral setbacks one after the other. If the leaders of AAP and Congress believe that the Electronic Voting Machines (EVM) have gone out of order, then they would do well to understand that for them these machines are going to remain out of order for a long time to come, because they are not going to get results in their favour, he said and added that by raising such meaningless questions, the AAP and Congress are only undermining the credibility of Election Commission of India, which has been hailed even by the other countries of the world.
Addressing a mixed crowd of Hindus and Muslims in Mustafabaad, Dr Jitendra Singh said, false propaganda was sought to be spread against BJP leadership by accusing it of promoting polarization of communities, but the Uttar Pradesh poll result has totally negated this false campaign. He said, if Uttar Pradesh could give the BJP such a heavy mandate, it was possible because, cutting across community lines, everybody voted for the party and to that extent, it was a polarization not in the name of religion or caste, but polarization in the name of development, for which all the communities came together and reposed faith in BJP under Narendra Modi.
Dr Jitendra Singh appealed for a cent – percent voting on the polling day of 23rd, so that the result of elections of Municipal Corporation of Delhi can break all previous records and match the BJP performance of Uttar Pradesh.
