JAMMU, Nov 21:- Member Legislative Council and Senior National Conference (NC) leader Vijay Bakaya today exhorted people to vote for steering Jammu and Kashmir to peace and development with focus on creating opportunities for youth by generating employability.
“National Conference alone is capable of meeting the urges and aspirations of all segments of the society”, Mr Bakaya said while addressing various election meetings at Muthi , Bhagwati Nagar, Kalika Nagar and Baranayee.
Mr Bakaya referred to the initiatives taken by the Omar led Government in mitigating sufferings of Kashmiri migrants and said this odyssey will continue with renewed vigour in the coming years.
“National Conference believes in principled politics which is the essence of democratic ideals nurtured over the years under the towering leadership of Sheikh Mohammed Abdullah and Dr Farooq Abdullah. “Sher- i-Kashmir fought all his life against elements inimical to amity, brotherhood and unity of the state”, Mr Bakaya said, adding it is therefore incumbent upon the people to carry forward this mission with renewed vigour and determination.
Addressing the election meetings, former MLC Bushan Lal Bhat said National Conference alone can meet the urges and aspirations of the displaced people. He said this party believes in unity and diversity and has been striving for harmonious growth of the society.
Mr Bakaya and Mr Bhat made a fervent appeal to the people to exercise their vote in favour of National Conference, saying this will be support to the progressive polices of the Party. They said hands of the Chief Minister are needed to be strengthened for inclusive development of the state.
