Murder plot foiled, accused arrested with sharp edged weapon

JAMMU, Sept 27: Narwal police foiled a murder plot with the arrest of a criminal along with a sharp edged weapon ‘toka’ from Sunderpur Morh area.
As per police sources, based on reliable information, a team from Narwal Police Post raised a naka near Transport Nagar and intercepted a pedestrian, who was moving under suspicious grounds.
During checking, police recovered a sharp edged weapon ‘toka’ from the possession of the man and arrested him.
The accused has been identified as Omesh Rana, son of Vishva Rana of Sunderbani District Rajouri, at present Rehari.
Through preliminary investigation it came to fore that the accused was on its way to eliminate his rival. To dodge the police he tried to cross the police checking on foot, but his nefarious designs were foiled by the active cops of Narwal Police Post.
A fresh case under FIR Number 226/17 under Section 4/25 Arms Act has been registered against the accused at Police Station Bahu Fort and further investigation into the case is going.
Police team led by Incharge Narwal Police Post SI Vikram Manhas and assisted by Head Constable Bashir Ahmed, Head Constable Suraj Parkash, SgCt Zafar Iqbal and SPO Ram Lal made the arrest under the supervision SHO Bahu Fort Inspector Bharat Sharma, SDPO East Arun Jamwal and SP South Sandeep Choudhary.
