BHADERWAH, Mar 13: Police arrested a man along with large quantity of illicit liquor pouches.
As per police sources, based on reliable information, a team from Bhaderwah police station laid a naka at Ghatti Morh and intercepted a man, who was moving under suspicious circumstances.
During checking, police recovered 41 pouches of illicit liquor from the possession of the man and arrested him.
The accused has been identified as Sanjay Kumar, son of Kamal Nain, a resident of Sartingal, at present Parnalla.
He was carrying the illicit liquor pouches to his village for selling among the people for illegitimate profits.
A case under FIR Number 24/17 under Section 48-A Excise Act has been registered against the accused at Bhaderwah police station and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Bhaderwah Jatinder Sambyal made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO Bhadarwah Brijesh Sharma, Additional SP Bhadarwah Shaazad Salaria and SSP Doda Mohammad Shabir.
