UDHAMPUR, Apr 13: Under mysterious circumstances, an elderly man was found dead in a pond at village Childi, Chenani, this evening.
The deceased was identified as Bali Ram (60), son of Kirpu Ram of Childi. He was missing from his home since morning. The dead body was spotted lying in the pond by some locals who informed the Police and family members.
Police took the dead body in its custody and shifted it to mortuary room of SDH Chenani for postmortem. A case of inquest proceeding under Section 174 CrPC has been initiated in this regard at Police Station Chenani.
