KATHUA, Oct 18: Lakhanpur Police headed by Inspector Choudhary Kulbir Singh SHO P/S Lakhanpur today succeeded in thwarting smuggling of bovines and rescued 12 bovine animals.
A team of Police Station Lakhanpur today laid a naka at Jaggatpur Ravi river and during naka intercepted a vehicle bearing Registration No.JK14A/8082 trying to enter into the State. On seeing police party, the driver of the vehicle fled away from the spot. Police seized the truck and rescued 12 bovine animals.
A case FIR No.102/2017 U/S 188 RPC 3 PC Act has been registered at Police Station Lakhanpur and investigation taken up.
