RAJOURI, May 9: A 19-year-old girl allegedly kidnapped by a youth from Thana Mandi area was recovered from Banihal area today.
A police spokesman said that one Nadia Kouser (fake name), daughter of one Nazir Ahmed of Thana Mandi area was allegedly kidnapped by one Irfan Anjum, son of Abdul Majid resident of Siot village in Thanna Mandi on 22 April. The parents of the girl lodged an FIR with the police which started investigation and search for the girl.
Police party led by SHO Zakir Shaheen today recovered the girl from a hotel in Banihal area and arrested the kidnapper. The girl after medical examination was restored to the family.
