JAMMU, Mar 11: Revi-ewing the development works of Gandhi Nagar Constituency, Speaker Legislative Assembly Kavinder Gupta today visited various sites of ongoing works.
The Speaker during his visit, inspected the progress on Bikram Chowk flyover, drainage works at Gadhi Garh, Gangyal and Jeevan Nagar upto Balol Nallah and bridge at Bandurakh among others.
He took detailed account regarding the completion of all these projects and interacted with the locals and enquired about difficulties faced by them due to these works.
The Speaker informed that most of these projects will be completed by the mid of this year and it is going to improve the quality of life of the local populace enormously.
Speaking on the occasion, he said that the State is altogether witnessing a new era of developmental activities and it is going to uplift the living standards of the people of the State.
Later, the Speaker visited the Jammu Bus Stand to interact with stranded passengers and took stock of various arrangements put in place by the district administration for them.
The Speaker assured them of Government’s full support. He also distributed langar (free kitchen) to the passengers.
