JMC Commissioner inspects quality of milk in Jammu city

JAMMU, Oct 2: Comm-issioner, Jammu Municipal Corporation, Kiran Wattal, today paid surprise visit in Panjtirthi area along with Health Officer, MVO and Food Safety Officers and inspected the quality of milk being brought in the City.
The adulterated milk measuring 500 ltrs was destroyed on the spot and the fine to the tune of Rs 3850 was realized from the defaulters.
Later, the Commissioner also paid surprise visit to the different parts of Panjtirthi, Pacca Danga, Moti Bazar, Parade and took cognizance of the Municipal services being rendered to citizens.
Meanwhile, Kiran Wattal today gave away mementoes and cash price to the Sanitary Supervisors Rattan Lal, Mangat Ram and Jang Bhadur and Safaikaramcharies Mak-han, Satpal and Tarsem on the occasion of Mahatma Gandhi birth anniversary celebrations at Town Hall, Jammu.
The impressive function was attended by more than 300 SKC’s, president and office bearers of Safaikaramchari Union.
Among others, Kapil Sharma, Joint Commissioner (A), JMC, Naresh Kumar, Secretary, JMC, Umar Farooq, Chief Accounts Officer and Dr Vinod Sharma, Health Officer attended the function.
The Commissioner eulogized the performance of Sanitation Section in Sanitation drive being conducted in Jammu city and asked the SKC’s to cooperate and participate actively in the drive.
Cash prizes of Rs 1500, Rs 1200 and Rs 800 were distributed among the awardees.
