JKGPA projects demands

JAMMU, Apr 7: Jammu Kashmir Government Pharmacists’ Association (JKGPA), Jammu province today projected burning demands of the pharmacists in a press conference held here at Press Club.
Addressing the press conference, Choudhary Jarnail Singh, president, JKGPA, raised various issues pertaining to the cadre. He demanded immediate issuance of DPC orders of all the categories, enhancement of entry level grade pay of pharmacists from Rs 2400 to Rs 4200 and amendment of SRO 20.
He further stressed for providing running grade to pharmacists i.e. after rendering 5, 10 and 15 years of services as the practice is already in department, upgradation/creation of post of Pharmacist as Block and district pharmacy officer and implementation of Pharmacy Act in the State.
Singh appealed the Government and higher authorities to redress their demands at the earliest.
Others who were present in the press conference were Kamaljeet Sawhney, RP Singh, Yougal Bakshi, Bharat Bhushan Bhagat, Shafkket Hussain, Madan Sharma Daleep Choudhary and Vishal Patil.
The JKGPA president also extended his full support to JKMEF’s protest dharna, which is scheduled to be held at DHS complex on April 12.
