JAMMU, Feb 22: To continue anti-encroachment drive to retrieve back JDA land, the Enforcement Wing of Jammu Development Authority removed unauthorised constructions and demolished illegal structures over JDA land at Ware House and Chack Changarwan.
A team under supervision of Director Land Management JDA, Devinder Singh Katoch, comprising Tehsildar (HQ) JDA, Farooq Bhat, CKO S Narinder Singh, KWO Pankaj Sambyal,  KWI Romesh Kumar, Madan Lal, Thoru Mohd, Booti Singh and field staff,  removed the unauthorized encroachment. The team was assisted by thick contingent of local police from the local police station.
It is pertinent to mention that Jammu Development Authority is taking tough action against the land mafia who are disposing JDA land illegally to the innocent buyers by providing fake documents/revenue papers.  The VC JDA  R K Shavan  said that public should not buy any land without proper title and registration from the Court. He said that Master Plan 2032 shall be enforced strictly and whosoever is found violating it will be dealt sternly.
In the meanwhile,  the JDA team also visited General Bus Stand and asked 52 shopkeepers to get the shops vacated within week’s time as per the order of  High Court so that the project work does not suffer.  Pertinently these shopkeepers are not vacating shops on one or the other pretext and are delaying the project work unnecessarily for the last 5-6 months.
