POONCH, Feb 18: A Junior Commissioned Officer (JCO) was seriously injured in a mine blast in forward area of Mankote sub sector today.
Official sources said that JCO Om Parkash of 5 Mahar Regiment was moving in a forward location Sonawali Gali area in Mankote at around 10 am today, He suddenly over stepped a washed away mine which exploded with big bang.. His right foot was blown up. With serious injuries he was rushed to nearby Military hospital and then air-lifted to Command Hospital, Udhampur.
