POONCH, Dec 5: An Army jawan was injured in an accidental fire at a post in Sagra area of Mankote sector near the Line of Control this morning.
Sources said that Sepoy Krishna Kumar of 20 Kumaon Regiment who was deployed at a forward post in Sagra area, sustained a bullet injury on his person due to accidental fire.
He was rushed to nearby Army hospital. His condition was stated to be stable.
The Army authorities claimed to have initiated inquiry.
SDPO, Mendhar Riaz Tantray said that concerned Army unit refused to share information with local police.
