This is in reference to the editorial D.E 21 May 2017. ‘Jammu taken for a ride’. The author has rightly exposed the previous Govts and present coalition Govt on the issue of discrimination met to Jammu and Ladakh regions. Since the independence, the state is reeling under discrimination by the Kashmir centric rulers and even the BJP who is coalition partner could not do the justice with the Jammu & Ladakh regions with regard to discrimination as claimed during the election campaign. The author has rightly narrated that funds allotted to a particular project in either Jammu or Ladakh region are shifted to Kashmir valley and nobody raises the voice . When there is unrest in the valley and developmental works have come to standstill and on the other hand the works/projects in Jammu and Ladakh regions have been put to halt with the mal-intention of leaving both the regions on back foot. The BJP, the coalition partner in the present Govt. have failed to take the lions share for Jammu region as claimed in the election campaigns. I appreciate the author for highlighting bitter truth of discrimination met with Jammu & Ladakh regions and hope that the public will not forget this conspiracy of the Kashmir centric Govts.
